The phenomenon began in early May with some dancing Kiwi cops posting a challenge and not long after nurses, doctors and paramedics around the country joined in. Check out some nurse dance moves in the Running Man Challenge videos from local DHBs.

Back on May 3 the New Zealand Police posted a recruitment video featuring some twinkle-toed cops dancing the 'running man' 80s dance move. The video and Running Man Challenge to other police departments went viral  - 7.8 milion views in the first 48 hours - and the result has been the Running Man Challenge causing May mayhem with emergency services around the world accepting the challenge.

Back home St Johns Ambulance were one of the first health services to respond with their video going up on May 9 and the challenge issued to emergency departments to follow:

Auckland DHB took up the challenge with Starship Children's Emergency Department posting their video answer on May 12 and issuing a challenge to fellow DHBs in Auckland:

That challenge was taken up by Counties-Manukau's Middlemore ED who posted their moves on May 15:

Then Gisborne ED nurses accepted the challenge – coming in on their day off – to complete their  Tairawhiti DHB co-ordinated challenge posted on May 18:

Great to see so many ED staff finding their groove.

NB If I've missed any health challenges please be in touch
