Lord, a Christchurch-based experienced registered nurse with an extensive background in Māori health and primary health care will join the Ministry of Health unit as a senior advisor with special responsibility for the advancing the Ministry’s Māori Workforce Development Plan.

She is of Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa, Ngāi Tahu, Te Whānau-a-Apanui and Ngāti Porou descent and has a BA Māori and Indigenous Studies and Te Reo, PG Dip Health Sciences and is currently completing her Masters of Health Science (Nursing Clinical).
