To mark Men’s Health Week the Cancer Society has launched a new website for men to deliver the ‘nuts and bolts’ of health info with a ‘dollop of humour’.

Steve Kenny, the society’s Canwork programme manager, says the Get the Tools site is going to be great for kiwi blokes.

“Like it or not, men talk like men and Get the Tools really does speak our language.”

The website delivers men’s health information and advice in bloke speak including key risk-prevention tips, health “warrant of fitness” tools and tools for people with cancer.

The site has been launched in conjunction with the Movember Foundation and the Mental Health Foundation and can be found at www.getthetools.org.nz

People who visit the site during Men’s Health Week also have the chance to win a range of prizes including movie tickets.
